Bruxelles 12 Septembre 2004 À l'occasion du douloureux anniversaire des attaques terroristes sur New York et Washington le Front Polisario et le peuple sahraoui voudraient s'associer au peuple américain et aux nations du monde pour exprimer encore une fois leur sympathie et leur profonde solidarité aux familles des victimes et par delà à toutes les victimes du terrorisme à travers le monde. Le Front Polisario qui a toujours banni et reprouvé le terrorisme sous toutes ses formes, réitère avec véhémence sa condamnation du terrorisme lequel constitue l'attaque la plus abjecte contre des innocents, et attente aux valeurs les plus sacrées, que sont le respect de la vie humaine, la dignité, la liberté et la paix. C'est dans ces valeurs que le peuple sahraoui et son représentant légitime le Front Polisario puisent pour lutter contre l'oppression et l'occupation militaire marocaines; et oeuvre inlassablement pour l'avènement au Sahara Occidental d'un pays, libre et démocratique. Depuis trois décennies le peuple sahraoui clame haut et fort sa volonté de réaliser par des moyens pacifiques ses revendications légitimes à l'autodétermination et à la liberté. Ce qui vaut au Front Polisario le respect en tant que mouvement de libération national qui n'a jamais été associé ni de près ni de loin à aucune forme de terrorisme. Un autre fait qui corrobore l'attachement du peuple sahraoui à la paix réside dans l'acceptation par le Front Polisario du plan de paix proposé par Monsieur James Baker en vue d'aboutir à une solution juste, pacifique et définitive du Conflit du Sahara Occidentale dans les cadre des résolutions pertinentes de l'ONU conformément à la légalité internationale. Le peuple sahraoui continue d'espérer que la communauté internationale oeuvrera résolument pour lui permettre, d'exercer son droit inaliénable à l'autodétermination et à l'indépendance. Soutenir le combat pacifique du peuple sahraoui pour la réalisation de ses droits légitimes est inséparable de la lutte contra l'injustice, l'oppression, et le terrorisme. Et est intrinsèquement lié à la défense par les nations libres des idéaux de justice, de démocratie et de liberté. Mohamed

Brussels 12th September 2004 On the occasion of the tragic anniversary of the terror attacks on New York and Washington, the Frente POLISARIO and the Saharawi people would like to join the American people and all world nations in expressing once again their deepest solidarity and sympathy with the families of those who lost their lives in those attacks, and with all victims of terrorism throughout the world. The Frente POLISARIO, which has always condemned all acts of terror, would like to reiterate anew its vehement denunciation of terrorism, which constitutes a horrendous onslaught on innocent people as well as on the sacred values of respect for human life and dignity, freedom and peace. It is on these values that the Saharawi people, and their legitimate representative the Frente POLISARIO, have always drawn in their struggle against the Moroccan oppression and military occupation, as well as in their tireless efforts to establish a free, open an democratic state in Western Sahara. For three decades, the Saharawi people have been affirming their will to attain, through peaceful means, their legitimate rights to self-determination and sovereignty. This is what has earned the Frente POLISARIO the respect as a national liberation movement that has never been associated with any form of terrorism. Another fact that bears testimony to the Saharawi people's attachment to peace consists in the acceptance by the Frente POLISARIO of Baker's peace plan with a view to brining about a peaceful, just and definitive solution to the conflict in Western Sahara within the framework of UN relevant resolutions and in consonance with the dictates of international legality. The Saharawi people remain hopeful that the international community would act resolutely in order to enable them to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination and independence. Backing the peaceful struggle of the Saharawi people for attaining their legitimate rights is inseparable from the fight against injustice, oppression and terrorism; it is also intrinsic to the defence of the ideals of justice, democracy and freedom that are upheld by all free nations. Con ocasión del doloroso aniversario de los ataques terroristas sobre Nueva York y Washington, el Frente Polisario y el pueblo saharaui desearían sumarse al pueblo americano y a las naciones del mundo para expresar una vez más su simpatía y profunda solidaridad con las familias de las víctimas y, por extensión, con todas las víctimas del terrorismo en el mundo. El Frente Polisario, que siempre ha rechazado y reprobado el terrorismo en todas sus formas, reitera vehementemente su condena del terrorismo, que constituye un ataque abyecto contra seres inocentes y atenta a los valores más sagrados, que son el respeto de la vida humana, la libertad y la paz. De estos valores se alimentan el pueblo saharaui y su representante legítimo, el Frente Polisario, para luchar contra la opresión y la ocupación militar marroquí ; el pueblo saharaui y el Frente Polisario obran sin descanso por el advenimiento en el Sáhara Occidental de un país abierto, libre y democrático. Después de tres decenios el pueblo saharaui proclama alto y fuerte su voluntad de realizar por medios pacíficos sus reivindicaciones legítimas a la autodeterminación y a la soberanía. Ello le ha valido al Frente Polisario el respeto en tanto que movimiento de liberación nacional que nunca ha estado asociado, ni de cerca ni de lejos, a ninguna forma de terrorismo. Otro hecho que corrobora la vinculación del pueblo saharaui con la paz es la aceptación por el Frente Polisario de los planes aprobados por las Naciones Unidas conducentes a una solución justa, pacífica y definitiva del conflicto del Sáhara Occidental en el marco de las resoluciones pertinentes de éstas conforme a la legalidad internacional. El pueblo saharaui continúa esperando que la comunidad internacional obre resueltamente para permitirle ejercer su derecho inalienable a la autodeterminación y a la independencia. El sostenimiento del combate pacífico del pueblo saharaui para la realización de sus derechos legítimos es inseparable de la lucha contra la injusticia, la opresión y el terrorismo. Y está intrínsecamente ligado a la defensa por las naciones libres de los ideales de justicia, democracia y libertad.
